Received this little beauty back from grading in the post today. Torn between this and the completer as the best design but out of the original 10 this is most definitely my favourite. Goes nicely with the others in the collection 🙃

My very first shield back and very first victoria head sovereign! thought i'd go all out and get the graded version as i'm a sucker for good condition...

Absolutely love this coin, the condition is amazing given the age and have so much details on the back!

I was never a big fan of sovereigns as much prefer the gold colour on 24ct, but the old coins have a great colour - unlike the horrible new copper coins!

Won this at an auction from ebay... anyone want to have a guess at how much i paid for this?

If you paid less than 550 you have got a decent deal mate imo

thanks mate, i did pay less - will say later to see if others want to guess , so very happy that you said this, as i have almost no idea how much these things are worth, i just wanted a shield back but didnt want a really worn one!

If that's the same coin I was after I got rejected at 330 and ended up just buying 3full sovs from Atkinson

Okay, so it's somewhere between £330 and £550?

I'll have a guess at £455 (1.4 * spot)?

Between £375 and £385 I'd guess.
