Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Arrived in the post today.

Sorry for the poor quality photos.   Any idea what this is worth?  I know what I paid for it but I'm struggling to give it an accurate value.  Any advice grateful recieved.

From the photos, it could be a sovereign or a double sovereign, although you didn't say which.

It looks very red, so probably a £2, as a London Mint sov would be quite yellow.

Is this a competition, and if so, do I win anything?

Just a full sovereign.  It does look yellow in the flesh....

Got my chocolate bar and seeds from @BleyerBullion! Came in a huge box, though, with some really heavy shiny yellow packaging junk - it's a shame how much packaging everything comes with these days, won't think they of the environment?!? I of course threw that stuff out, you can't even recycle it around here.

May i ask where this shop is? Fellow herts/cambs stacker...would love to support a local shop :)

Everitt Family Jewellers in Hatfield.

It's the kind of place that has been there for centuries. There is a bit on display but most of his stuff is in the safe. Nice guy to chat to and he always tries to do a deal on multiple items. (For me anyhow).
