Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I was very pleased to receive the this bundle from @Foster88 to help support their fundraising efforts for the wonderful charity CRY. Thanks to you and everyone else for the great items donated to the auction for such a worthy cause!IMG20210506175001.thumb.jpg.2b094e593d9a4c8a465c4e889ce13821.jpg

My elbow is still aching from polishing that sugar bowl. 😆

Thanks your support and for winning the auction.

Stay in touch. 😊

I got my 1oz gold proof GB today but sadly I found a small hole on top of the lion. Should I send it back ? Not sure what to do ? What would you do ?

What magnification was used to take this photo of your coin?  I'm guessing a minimum of x10 magnification and possibly higher?

Nothing is perfect in this world- not even a 'perfect' PF70 coin.  NGC's criteria for a top grade coin is outlined below- the 'hole' you are pointing out was clearly not caused post- production and at x5 magnification will certainly not look as dramatic as represented in your photograph.

I would keep it and rejoice in the fact that you were fortunate enough to acquire it, there were only 625 of them, wasn't there?

Enjoy the coin, warts and all  😀

I wish I never saw it. It’s something you can see with the naked eye. But it does seem like someone got a pin and poked it.

Doesn't everyone worry thst they will just spot and go milky as with all RM silver be hard to shift for some very expensive silver

None of my QB silver proofs have spotted yet, and I've had most for a few years already. About half graded, I'll have the rest graded too as I think it also protects the coin.
