  1. FINALLY got my hands on the final piece to my Ghana Kwame Nkrumah coin collection. This 1965 gold £2 OAU Summit coin in its original case popped up on eBay last week. I have one graded top pop but only seen 1 other example in its original case online which was sold in an auction years ago. I suspect a lot of these have been melted down so this is a great find. Doubt anyone in the world has all of these in one collection so something to be proud of. @DuncanWylieWilson it took a while but I’ve finally made it to the promised land! 😂
  2. Thursday morning bump and final reduction before withdrawal 😊
  3. Thanks for the @, love this coin. I have a couple of these now though
  4. Happy new financial year day! 2 x 2022 Platinum Jubilee sovereigns in PF70 and 2 x 2023 Coronation sovereigns in PF70 (Obverse facing up) 2022 - 735 each ONE LEFT 2023 - 700 each BOTH SOLD Thanks for looking 😊
  5. @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions graded quite aa bit for me however I'm not sure if they still offer this service. I've self graded the past 12 months but as @Paul mentioned @GoldDiggerDave can help you out with this. I'd say it'd be worth grading your completer, the bullion QB, not so much
  6. Nice haul. It adds up quickly.
  7. Thanks. I’m with you. Once you go down the rabbit hole the OCD kicked in so I had to achieve “perfection”. Feel pretty content with the collection as is. 50p’s might be next but I’m not sure. I’d love to add a Victoria young head proof in a good grade. That’s the dream. I bought a few already graded via The Silver Forum, Facebook groups and auctions. I then started buying raw and tried grading. Been extremely lucky and got all PF70s apart from 2 occasions to which I moved on.
  8. I think 50p proofs just haven't been my focus as yet. Britannia's, Sovereigns and the QB series occupied most of my time and energy over the past. few years. I need to take the time to go down the 50p rabbit hole to know which ones to go for and what a fair price would be as thats also a big factor
  9. Thanks. The pleasure is all mine! It was a combination of The Silver Forum, dealers such as Chards, Atkinsons etc, Facebook groups and grading raw coins I bought from various people and the RM. The 2oz Completer is most definitely the jewel in the crown and favourite design. The 2014 Britannia and 2012 Sovereign set are also personal favourites. The 2016 Sovereign set is the one that I think was slept on and has really increased in value due to the low mintage and the fact that the portrait was only available for 1 year. A lot of 5 coin sov sets are broken up so I was keen to collect full sets and keep them together. Even the 4 Philip Nathan special designs. While they are not an official set I thought it would be nice to collate them together. The 2005 Britannia was the hardest to source. Fun fact, there were no gold bullion Britannia's released in 2005, the only option was proofs and the 1oz was only available in the 4 coin set so its a very hard coin to find. On top of that, it doesn't grade very well so it's also difficult to get a PF70 so it took me a while to find.
  10. Thanks. 50p proofs are an interesting one. There are a few I've had my eye on in the past that I might be able to snag at decent prices but I'll take my time in deciding. Love the 2012 as well, another great original design. It's a shame the RM's track record of recent releases hasn't been great. Lets hope this changes
  11. Good shout. Especially if I can pick them up at decent prices
  12. Thanks. I actually had this set but sold it last year as I felt a little over weight in bullion 😊
  13. Thanks. The 2oz completer is a site to behold. Not many modern designs that can rival it, definitely no original design I've seen, maybe the 2014 Britannia (both designed by Jody Clark). The Una, Three Graces, 2017 sov and 1989 sov are great designs but they're remasters of previous coins.
  14. Thanks. I started collecting proofs just after the Una so I missed out on that then I had the 2oz Three Graces in my cart which then disappeared when I tried to pay 😩. I did get the Gothics but the 2 coin set approach and my OCD of not getting the 1st two made me move them on. The only one I’d add to my collection would be the Una which I’ll never be able to afford but one can dream 💭
  15. Thanks. My initial focus was bullion but I then moved into (the right) proofs as the price is de-tethered from the spot price. My split currently is approximately 33% bullion 67% proofs
  16. Started seriously stacking/collecting gold just over 3 years ago and breached the 1KG level late last year. The forum has been a massive part of this journey, @ChrisSilver I thank you for creating the community and the work you put in daily to cultivating a thriving environment, long may it continue. Started with silver, then moved onto bullion gold and proof coins thereafter. There's also a bunch of others to thank for the help, guidance, advice, encouragement and inspiration to make it to this point (I'm sure I've left out a load of other peeps): @Clockpuncher @Abyss @SilverMike @richatthecroft @Jaconet @Roy @Elements @Spectre77 @BarryWoods @Alun @Tn21 @James32 @cliveb13 @sovereignsteve @DevonNumismatic @Spence098 @StackSellRepeat @1stsovereign @LiquidMetalsUK @CadmiumGreen @1817Karl @AndrewSL76 @Sparrowlegs4 @Shinus73 @terakris @kneehow2018 @Neelam @Stuntman @dicker @jultorsk @DynamitesUK @BackyardBullion @Spanishsilver @Stu @Paul @PapaLazarou @CoinStruck @westminstrel @trozau @DarkChameleon @Britannia47 @Petra @foinikas @Pete @RDHC With the lovely weather of the bank holiday weekend I felt like sharing my collection so here it is. I took a load of pretty pics before putting everything back in lock up. I think I've accumulated a decent collection. I have a few outliers that I'll most probably sell on the forum at some point which are not part of below so keep a look out. I also may part with the bullion Britannia set (feel free to drop me a message if you're interested). What next? I feel I have enough from an investment portfolio for now but I may start to pick up a few key older sovs, we'll see. Let me know what you think and thanks to you all again: ________________________________________ The 12 bullion special design Britannia's, available for one year only The 4 Philip Nathan special design 1oz Britannia's + 2014 Jody Clark 1oz Britannia all PF70 The 10 modern sovereign special designs available for one year only all PF 70 The 1989, 2012, 2016, 2022 and 2023 sovereign sets all in PF70 The 3 special design Strike on the day Sovereigns (2017, 2022 and 2023) all in MS70 The 3 Royal Mint limited edition special release Royal Mint coins (After the silent auction debacle I will give the 2023 matte proof set a miss) 2021 2oz Queens Beast Completer PF70 (my prized possession 😍) 2022 Piedfort Pattern Platinum Jubilee Plain Edged Sovereign PF70 2023 2oz King Charles Coronation PF70 MATTE

  18. You could add the 1859 Ansell. Not cheap though
  19. I missed out on the Touchstone release ☹️. Waiting on the Covenant now
  20. Hi all, As the title suggests I have a 2023 Coronation Sov PF70 First Releases with the Coronation portrait facing up. There won’t be many with this orientation as NGC mount the St George & the Dragon facing the front. £750 posted Thanks for looking 😊
