Just thinking, if bars are cheaper and easier to make then why are coins not square or rectangle. Less production waste, don't roll away when you drop them, shipping quantity / volume would be cheaper as well. I suspect the reject rate is higher on bars than coins due to striking a rectangle blank, this reject cost has to be absorbed into the batch. Die set up might be a little more involved, but once set the daily machine cost of running the batch must be pretty much the same as a batch of coins. Clearly some bars are priced according to the name on the bar, not surprising really as demand, scarcity, quality also have an affect on the price asked.

We still seem to be in a corrective phase after a massive rise over the many prior months, currently still drifting sideways, maybe no real clear direction until the Trump era begins, and even then his first 100 days will be key.
