Received these three lovely Crowns. Thanks @Iacabu for the ‘Restoration of the Monarchy’ £5.  That’s the first tray in my modern cabinet filled with both £5’s and a dozen Piedfort £5’s. 

Three different Portraits here, I’m always surprised that the IRB Portrait endured for so long.   In my opinion it’s neither a flattering depiction nor is it distinguished- and unfortunately spanned the releases of some very special Sovereign releases.

Yeah I personally think it's very nice and definitely isn't as Rose gold as RM pictures would make you think.

2 of the 3 Platinum Completers that arrived this morning. One, in my opinion, had an unacceptable scratch on the reverse so I have taken a punt and sent it back already. To be fair the guy on the phone was inclined to agree with me when he saw the photo. It's bullion, I know, but to get two beauties and one with scratch left me a touch deflated. 

My first Pt, I was expecting them to be smaller relative to gold, but they seem nicely thin with a rounded edge if anything. 

Let's see what the Royal Mint come back with.

That seems reasonable. While some dealers hide behind the "but it's only bullion" excuse, the Royal Mint actually describe all of their bullion coins as being of a similar standard to Brilliant Uncirculated coins, and you wouldn't put up with scratches on those.

Lots of private sellers also use that claiming ''it's only bullion' True, but we all know the desirability of a scratched up Britannia vs a mint one. The fact is, some people enjoy collecting these, if it was purely bullion, why bother with nice designs and different coins at all!

A lovely 1937 Australian wreath crown in today.

These were only minted in 1937 & 1938 for the coronation of George VI

There was just over 1 million minted in 1937 and just over 100k for 1938 and 250 proof for 1938

More English spare parts just arrived.

Given H&B refuse to take my cash, RM gets the dosh. Ordered these 7 Jan...to hand from UK to Aust in circa 1.5 weeks...not bad.

Very happy with the quality and blister packs are solid and well made. Now for a few more of the various 2022 sov range to acquire. I think some 1/4's and doubles might the go next. 😃 Lord help me when the 5 quid one hits the shelves.

A 1959 sov also arrived today courtesy of one of the Business Gold members of TSF . A couple of tiny dings (under mag glass) but in pretty good condition for it's age. Even came is solid screw top capsule.  Very happy with the whole package and also from UK to Sydney in circa 10 days via Royal Mail and Aust Post. 👍👍

How are Australians able to order from the RM but when I go to the Perth mint website it says not available in my country ? Or am I missing something ?
