A maelstrom of delightful metal today.

Thank you @Ducat916 for the 5oz Gothic Crowns.  I returned to the RM and opted for a refund on my 10oz Gothic’s due to poor quality- these beautiful 5oz examples are a fantastic substitute.

The Four Generations Crown from Chards is another step nearer my Crown run 👍 

I already have a Jubilee Quarter Ounce but I couldn’t resist a PF70 graded example for only a little over issue price, at an eBay auction, not sure about the label, jury is out.

Also received is a Platinum Jubilee Silver Proof stamp cover- only 200 issued by the Royal Mint. And finally, a 1970 Proof Coin Set featuring the last issues of pre- Decimal Coinage & a lovely King George V Silver Jubilee medal.

Received the last four Silver Proof £5 Crowns to conclude my objective of gathering up (almost) every Decimal Crown commencing from 1972 to date.  I elected not to collect the First World War, the Remembrance and the Tower of London issues- but I might come back to these themes over time- but the remainder are all ticked off including the Good, the Bad & the Ugly 😂 

The concluding four Crowns from the Portraits of Britain series, textured and pastel colourised which depict coastal landmarks.

And below are some photos of all the Crowns in the cabinet trays- spot the three foreigners!  😂

My favourite tray is the Jubilee tray 😃

Today I received a 1 oz platinum Britannia bullion bar.  Something that we probably don't show too many photos of, so enjoy these ones of the outer packaging sleeve, and then both sides of the bar (despite their poor quality). 

I've also photographed it next to its gold and silver minted bar sisters.  The gold ones are my favourites, they look visually more impressive than the platinum bar - despite all being 1 oz bars.  

The price of platinum has gone down a bit since I ordered mine, so currently this bar would cost a fraction under £1000 from the RM including VAT and delivery.  For reference, I paid £1010.  It's one for the collection, rather than one to make my fortune...

Storing ninety odd Crowns in 4 trays of a cabinet is one thing, but adding an extension to the house to store the boxes they came in, is an all new ball game 😱
