Funny story. Came home late last night and was dying for a wizz. Run in my bathroom to find this absolute beauty on the seat. The postman decided to chuck it through the window 🙄. Lucky the seat wasn’t up 😂

Had to go to Hungerford this morning and whilst having a coffee thought I would Googke local coin shops and to my surprise found there was an actual open coin and stamp shop in the High Street. Popped in there and found this red leather proof set I've been missing. Great price and a really good mix of modern and new coins including a raw Three Graces. Chewed the fat for a while and it made a nice change to get something not posted.

The bullion Completers turned up this morning quite by chance as well so all in all not a bad start to the day. The coin shop is called The Coin and Stamp centre and is in Hungerford High Street. I'm not affiliated in any way just thought it was worth a mention if anyone is in the area to go and have a look and keep the small businesses ticking over😀

My replacement SOTD Sovereign please can I have your thoughts

For me now I'd be happier just buying  2 secondary market sovereigns for the almost the price of these BU.

I'm sending back,  honestly guys I'm I being too precious?  is this acceptable?  please let me know.

Absutely unacceptable! The rim is clearly full of scratches. I would send back for sure for a replacement.

Yes, I'd definitely send that back. My 1911 sovereign has less scratches than that. Can't believe Royal mint has gone this downhill on quality control, just to differentiate between proofs and BU.

You got a good coin too, 1902 has only 89000 minted as far as i can see. Got lucky there. Congrats ☺️

In South Wales for a week. Went to Cardiff and some of the many arcades on St Mary St. My 10 year old bought this with his own money. 15 quid for 2000 years of history cant be bad. Bronze Faustina The Younger, AD 175ish. Obviously really worn, but a really happy new owner. All good. Hopefully my 2oz completer will be waiting for me when I get home too...

Ahh thanks I missed it but this came from HGM too, there was more than 10 showing in stock
