I think I see though what @GoldDiggerDave means here - the frosting somehow seems to have that same effect. I’m not sure how they managed it, but it looks frikkin gorgeous. You can especially see the difference when he compares it alongside other .999 gold coins (towards the end of the video).

Thanks for that wedtminstrel. The wonderful yellow gold when compared with the coppery sovereigns is just gorgeous.

I do wish that the R. M. Would replace much of the copper in sovereigns with silver to give them the loverly buttery gold colour of the earlier victorian sovs.

Got 6 more sovs. One of them is an isle of man sov - my first. In great condition and only a 10er more than the others, seemed reasonable!

Does by that logic that Isle of man is tax free and your coin is Tax free - does the taxman have to refund you twice? Id put a form in see if you can claim it back!

The postie dropped her off about an hour ago.

For anyone wondering, yes, I can confirm that it had a fantastic, chocolate centre. Very delicious, and I discarded the foil wrapper in the recycling bin like a good citizen. Sadly, the bin I put it in was lost in a tragic boating accident.

What are the odds?
