I’ve several 1911 proofs off at ngc currently all with the lovely blue hues. Obviously if you send anything for grading they’re not going to tone any further once slabbed. I also have a gorgeous complete set arriving hopefully tomorrow, here is the florin from the set.

Again that’s another stunning coin; I also have a 1911 set at NGC, trying to improve my maundy coin grades but the florin in my set is probably the best coin from the 8. Been in grading since early October so it’s a long wait so far!

@Cornishfarmer was only just asking about the Florin - WHAT A COIN!!! This is a truly beautiful set, @matt1r. Congratulations! As for the grading question, I personally, would keep everything exactly as it is - so so so beautiful in the box!!

Also- you positively know they are very high grades anyway 😉 And keep the tatty box- mines just as tatty and well loved- it will give people a lovely surprise as to what’s inside 😊

Yea it wouldn’t hurt to leave them as they are. I also have some very nice examples I picked up sparingly throughout the year currently with ngc so I can have a raw and graded set. 😊

A proof-like 'liz on that '66 maybe? The Bermuda crown is gorgeous, I must say though the Bahamas' coins and the '67 Canadian Goose did it for me. Nice to see all of them in the hands of someone who will appreciate them 😁

Agreed- I also think the 1966 is a  Proof issue- cameo on Her Majesty’s Portrait 👍
