Like London buses… I was looking for this Ghana Republic Day coin for over a year until it popped up in an auction a few weeks back. Wanted one in a case which I thought was unlikely as I’ve only seen 1 example on the internet until by chance I stumbled across one in a Facebook group. Bit of tarnish on the box but all adds to the beauty. Got both the gold and silver in their cases now ☺️ Will be sending the loose one off for grading

A ringy, pingy, tingy, dingy thing. I know its not for everyone and maybe frowned upon, but it is really amazing when you can get the coin right upto your ear and appreciate the purity & length of the ring.

1887 half sovereign courtesy of @mikesol 

1887 sovereign - picked up at an auction and my very first experience of getting a coin graded.  Very happy with the result.

Just need the double and quintuple to finish the set.....

Today I received a 1 oz panda from @Pandao. I am slowly going back and picking up the previous dates so I can have a date run at some point in the future. Wish me luck!

Hi.die marks were only used from 1863 to 1874. Sovreigns minted in London will not have a mint mark at all that's why I asked if there was a M Melbourne  or S Sydney mint mark? In 1883 no sovreigns were minted in London as far as I know so it should have either the S or M mint mark usually under Vicki's neck? Can you see the initials WW on Vicki's neck????

It has no mintmark and was minted in London. I guess its the  same variant like that one which was auctioned by the coin cabinet auction 41 , Lot 284.

I may be missing something but if it’s an 1883 half sovereign there were 2.8m minted in London?

Could not resist picking up another wee bit of Au for the 1/4oz stack. This stunning 2020 Brit was courtesy of a brand new seller to the Forum @FFposh who was an absolute gent to deal with. Perfect transaction from start to finish. Hope to do business with you again 👍🏻

Had to pop the coin in to one of my T22 Ringed Airtites I picked up recently from @morezone......they don't half make these wee coins pop 😁
