Crazy expensive though but fantastic quality with the leather motif on top.  I bought mine years ago well before brexit and I've actually got a few of his boxes of which 2 were customised for me.

The things for cutting is called a compass cutter.

Not complaining😇, but 70 on the 1/4 proof was what I really really wanted, but I am just happy to have even found one of them at all, so a 69 it is.

It was an impulse buy I am not too fond of, but I was bordering insanity back then.

It is so thin (3,4 g fine in a 19,7 mm coin), it is feeling unsubstantial - has a nice ping however 😙

I'll be taking it on my next coin run, exchange it for something nicer...

Posted this in a Britannia thread and thought I’d posted it here also. These are all the special 1 year only designs in 1oz gold bullion I have managed to collect (no bullion gold Britannia’s were minted in 2005 so I got the proof). @Abyss and @Stuntman were the people that inspired me to collect these (thank you). Not sure if I’ll continue however I’m hoping the RM will do a special for the jubilee in platinum. Would be a nice full stop!

I really like the 1oz Oriental Britannia’s.

I’ve been looking for the 2018 for some time, it’s a shame they stopped this series. But however maybe that’s what adds to their rarity.

Yeah its a lovely series. I say all good things must come to an end especially coin series. The 2018 Oriental was one of the toughest to find together with the 2017 trident privy and 2001 Britannia and the Lion

Are you sure your coin is genuine?  The lettering of "LIBERTY" looks to be too far from the edge, Liberty's face looks to be hideous (!), and on the reverse, the eagle does not seem to have much fine detail (e.g. the feathers).  I think the coin below is genuine, so you are able to see what I mean.

I've just had a little look into this and I'm afraid that it's 99% possible this coin is a fake as my quick research brought up that the westpoint mint didn't produce and proof silver eagles until 2001.

If you was to weigh the coin it will most probably come up at 30g

Alas, there are several obvious differences from the genuine one which can be seen even from the blurred photo. To me the most obvious are the sun and its rays - some are too short, some are even missing...

I know it's not silver or gold but still a great coin and I can't believe the size of these things must be one of the biggest coins to ever be in circulation.

Actually you could he right I'm not 💯 sure about this coin will need to get it checked out. I've got a 1986 one of these which is definitely genuine and it does have a better feel to it
