Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Beautiful photos again  with great compositions, lights and bokeh... With that narrow depth of field and high aperture,  I can't imagine you do this with a tiny PS Panasonic !

Thank you!

On this page we can see a lot of photos of the members with very good quality.

I have used a Panasonic MV MX5 with only 1.08 megapixels for over 15 years, there ist an example for one of the pictures with the old Panasonic:  https://thesilverforum.com/topic/4664-kookaburra-photo-thread/page/3/?tab=comments#comment-287548

It was a camera that was good in her time. The MV MX5 is available on the internet in used condition for maybe 50 euros to buy. But after all the years the kamera contacts of mine were oxidized. I  would probably have to clean the contacts. That's one of the reasons why I bought a Canon reflex camera EOS 200 D a few months ago. This camera is the smallest SLR camera in the world. It still delivers pictures with high quality. The photos of the mice are made with the supplied 18-55 mm standard lens for the EOS 200 D. For close-up of small coins, I had to buy an additional macro lens. Many retailers today rather recommend automatic cameras than SLR cameras. But my Canon delivers good quality in picture and sound especially when recording films for you Tube and is currently the smallest in the world. So I could take it  everywhere with me.

Yes now I understand better !

But your lenses seems to be standard and not too luminous  say  opening at 3,5 max and I would think the aperture being  around  1,7/ 2,2 on your photos

Again congratulation for your photos.that highlight your coins..Now I am obliged to start the Lunar III serie ! ;)
