So to mark this they decided to issue these notes. They are only available in the US but I had to get a few. Paid an arm and a leg for them. There are 10,000 of them minted but a limited run in these presentation packs.

As some of u know from last year my wife has MS so I wanted to do a charity auction for the uk MS society. 100% of the auction winnings will be going to charity.

The 1958 proof set arrived. Some lovely toning on a few of the coins. Both sets were produced by the royal mint and were using the pound and shilling denominations

My random sovereign arrived today and it’s ironic that it was a 1914 as I have a big interest in WW1.

Now, who’s got a 1915, 1916, 1917 and a 1918 to sell. I can see another date run coming on.... 😬

It’s a bit battered but I wonder who handed this into the bank as the last circulated sovereigns were collected for the new pound notes.

Received these 2 bars today massive thanks to @StackSellRepeat

He has delivered again i have been after these for a while and never thought I would be able to get fresh shiny ones

My only regret was not being able to buy the sheet or the remaining ones

Payday isn't too far away though
