For those of you that have purchased from Ash then you'll probably agree that the anticipation of the postage on the package can be just as exciting as the contents at times 🤣

I've also found out today just how hard it is to photograph a bloody proof coin...such a pest! 

Any faint marks you may see, appear to be on the cap or at least by my untrained eye anyway. 

Anyhoo my first 1/4oz Eagle and first proof.....I'm a happy chap.

A nice collection of fractional QB and a big fat 1kg Proof! ... received in record time from gold silver. Got a few 2021 Brits too. 

But also thinking maybe I should followup with Goldsilver.be on the tarnish that is showing on my 2016 1kg proof Libertad... what would you do? Hmmm.

Like the big coin, not completely sold on poorly constructed box though.

When the Royal Mint announced the music legends series, I was not interested in them.  That changed a bit when the offered a 1 ounce silver bullion version.  So an Elton John one arrived today to keep the one for the rock group Queen company.  Mintage of these is 25,000.

My 1997 four coin gold proof year set came back from Ngc with four 70 grades. Excellent result 🥳. Many thanks to Joseph for the set.

The set is made up of a five through to a half sovereign, all graded 70 ucam. The rarity is initially in the Quintuple which was only issued as part of this year set, with a very low mintage of 860. Getting hold of a set isn’t easy to start with but kthe second rarity is to have a set all graded all 70. The £5 sovereign is one of only 14 graded top graded at NGC as of today. The £2 Technology Celtic design, although it has a mintage 2482, is only the 7th top grade example rated by NGC. 

The full sov, as is the case with other 1990s sovereigns and half’s, when only proofs were struck, has a modest 9177 mintage & this only 10th graded 70. Equally the half sov, is the 13th graded top pop of 7500 minted. 

I thought I’d share some of the pics to brighten up the weekend. Thanks for looking.

Received this 2017 piedfort sovereign today from @cornishrich quite disappointed with this purchase , I can see a few scratches on the coin , not a perfect coin , don’t know if I should send it for grading or not .

there is a little scratch at 11 o’clock and one at 2 o’clock.

These are my latest auction wins a Denmark 2 Kronor struck from .800 silver, 1937 dated.
This coin was released in 1937 only to mark 25 years of the reign of King Christian X, it had a low mintage of 208,699.
A good size and weight coin about the same as a modern UK £2.
