  1. I knew this particular coin was expensive but I had no idea that some would go for that much.
  2. The Music Legends bullion offerings stopped after The Rolling Stones coin came out in 2022 and then Valiant ones stopped in 2021. I am hoping the Tudor Beasts bullion series will continue since when they did the Queen's Beasts the release order was different between the versions as well.
  3. Looking forward to obtaining one if a one ounce silver bullion version is made.
  4. Many thanks for the update and I am looking forward to obtaining my 2024 1 ounce Silver Forum and BYB bars when they are available in June.
  5. I was only interested in this series for the silver bullion releases but so far as you said only the 1960's one has been released in bullion.
  6. Finding these in change or other silver coins is always good deal. I remember when I was living in the USA, you could actually find these in circulation. Who knows how many silver coins I spent as kid on soda, candy, or in pinball machines.
  7. This happens in the USA as well since my mom was sick a while back so asked my Aunt to post a package to me from the USA and the UK and they shipped it via a more expensive option than it should have. I wish someone would have helped my Aunt out since the price she paid was over $40 US dollars while here is an example of costs from the US Mint web site says. International Shipping - You will be charged $17.90 plus a $2.95 handling fee per item for the United States Mint's International Shipping option. Packages shipped using the United States Mint's International Shipping option usually arrive within 1 to 2 weeks. https://catalog.usmint.gov/customer-service/shipping.html The other issue is that my Aunt did not know what to put on the customs form.....so the person helped her out. Of course, the package ended up not even leaving the USA since they put coins on the customs form. Which according to this is a prohibited item: Coins; platinum, gold, or silver (manufactured or not); precious stones; jewels; and other valuable articles. As well as: Coins; banknotes; currency notes, including paper money; securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler’s checks; platinum, gold, and silver; precious stones; jewelry; watches; and other valuable articles are prohibited in Priority Mail Express International shipments to the United Kingdom. https://pe.usps.com/text/Imm/tz_018.htm When my mom was better she reposted the package with hobby supplies on the customs form for a somewhat lower amount than what my Aunt paid. What is in the package was a 2023 Uncirculated Coin set that they bought for me from the US Mint, the 2023 P/D Innovation Dollar coins, and the S mint quarters clad - non proof that they got bought from a dealer My Mom and Aunt were trying to helpful since sadly my previous US coin source that I dealt with for over 15 years passed away. Does the US Mint get some sort of bulk discount deal with who they use to ship packages? How can the US Mint sent items to the UK (or even the Royal Mint to send items to the USA) if coins are prohibited thru the mail? Who should my family use to post items to me in the UK in the future if needed? I know all of this is not directly related but in my Aunt's case, they helped her post something for a sum of money can be quite a sum to a person in their mid 80's and they helped put a description down which flagged it as a prohibited item so the package never left the USA but was returned to her.
  8. The small village that I live in now does not even have a post office anymore. We had a mobile post office van that came to the village for just under a hour on Tuesday mornings but we were told that the van broke down in early February and there is no news as to when it will be back on the road. The nearest post offices take around 10 minutes to get there by car. I have been to one of them and the post office is not their main business so they serve their shop retail customers first. I am sure glad that I don't do as much trading in coins that I used to do since posting items with Royal Mail is becoming rather difficult. The news article that I read about the upcoming price increases stated that Royal Mail was saying price rise was needed because of the decline in letters and other items being sent. Most people I know did not bother sending out Christmas cards because of the previous price rise and slow delivery of cards in previous years. I feel that this price rise will have a further impact to the volume post processed by Royal Mail.
  9. These will be made by the UK coins made by the Royal Mint. All the dealers including Westminster Collections will be selling them.
  10. Not just once, but 8 times. Google search or a spellchecker could have helped here.
  11. I gave up on this series of coins since they stopped making the silver bullion ones which as far as I know was The Rolling Stones one back in 2022.
  12. I bought one of these coins graded PCGS MS62 dated 1922 minted in Philadelphia since I personally think it is one of best designed coins from the US Mint. As BYB says, if you just want gold, you can buy capital gains exempt gold at spot price but if it is one of these you are after than the price appears to be decent when I checked against the place I got mine from (US based dealer who does not ship to the UK) but a trusted family member was coming to the UK so they brought the coin over to me but I still was nervous that the coin would go missing. I just noticed that they are selling a similar graded one for about £675 more than I paid for mine back in August of 2018.
  13. Who knows when the bullion versions will be available since we still not seen the bullion Seymour Panther one yet.

    Britania’s

DavidE, Thank you for updating the site, the removal of the 1997 one from the bullion section and text of Silver Britannia's have been released each year beginning in 1997 (with 1997 only available in proof) explains the situation with them very well. Your site is the best reference for the Britannia coin series as well as other coin series Ken
  15. Should on the bottom right of the web site at https://www.silvertrader.uk/
  16. According to the US Mint on this page - https://catalog.usmint.gov/customer-service/shipping.html International Shipping You will be charged $17.90 plus a $2.95 handling fee per item for the United States Mint's International Shipping option. Packages shipped using the United States Mint's International Shipping option usually arrive within 1 to 2 weeks. You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are not reflected in our prices. Duties and taxes are levied by your country or other overseas authority once a shipment reaches your country. You may also be required to pay additional charges for customs clearance. You should contact your local customs office for further information on applicable duties, taxes, restrictions, and fees. So no saying what the final cost would be since I am not good as calculating what UK customs costs would be.

    Britania’s

I have done searches before for the 1997 Britannia but all I find are proof ones. I am a bit confused. The site says 16,005 Mintage in the Regular section and then under Proof it says - 4,173 Individual Mintage and 11,832 Set Mintage which totals 16,005, so if the goal my Britannia collection is not to have proofs, then I can skip the 1997 one, right?

    Britania’s

Collecting Britannia coins can become addictive and expense. DavidE's site is a blessing and a curse since you list variants of the Britannia coins that I never knew about a few years back but it a good reference to aid you and picking and choosing what you might want to acquire for your Britannia collection. While the site says ""the 2018 Dog privy appears to be the second most elusive". in my case, I am finding that the 2015 Ram privy is second hardest to find but partly my fault since have not really tried that hard to obtain one. Not going to bother with the 1997 one or the 2019 Pig privy ones. I also never bothered with the BU or Proof ones but I did acquire one of 2015 £50 ones and I also ended up with a 2023 proof since sadly my USA based trading partner passed away so rather returning it, I kept it.
  19. I would also suggest signing up for SilverTrader's newsletter since each month you get a coupon giving you £3 off a purchase of £60 or more.
  20. Yes, you can order from the US Mint from the UK, just bear in mind that there will be customs charges to pay including a handling fee. I am hoping someone here will be offering the Britannia and Liberty 2024 1oz Silver Bullion Coin in the future since right now that is the only option that my wallet can afford. https://www.royalmint.com/invest/bullion/bullion-coins/silver-coins/britannia-and-liberty-2024-1oz-silver-bullion-coin/
  21. My 2014 one came in the presentation pack.
  22. PM sent asking if I could add one of these to my 2024 silver Kruger purchase.
  23. I gave up looking for the 2019 Pig privy silver Britannia. Other one that I could not find was the 2015 Sheep/Ram/Goat (not sure what the exact animal is supposed to be) privy silver Britannia. A few of the other privy silver ones I have sourced via this forum.
  24. Here is a starting point with information regarding Peace Dollars. https://www.gainesvillecoins.com/library/silver-dollars/peace-dollar The first step is to make a list of the ones you have by date and mintmark. The mintmark on a Peace dollar is found in the lower left of the reverse, between the tip of the eagle’s folded wing and the rim of the coin. Then check the link above to see if there is anything that might be valuable.
