Nice new Kook and Brit - have say I really like the new Brits. One on my desktop (to test some little easels) and it keeps catching my eye as the light shifts - quite lovely for £25!!!

I too received some 2021 coins this week including the Kook, Australian Lunar, Britannia and the QB Greyhound.
Every Perth Mint unmarked and in a capsule.
8 out of 10 QB coins were scuffed on Her Majesty's face & neck
4 out of 5 Britannias also showing rub marks on their highest points.
Awful handling by our Royal Mint and such a shame because the designs are outstanding but in my mind devalues each scuffed brand new coin to little more than scrap.

1984-88 Silver Piedfort £1 "Set"

 

The four 1984-87 coins made up the first Royal Mint Piedfort set - the 1988 Shield is added for good measure.

Despite spurious (BS) claims alleged elsewhere, these encapsulated proofs are not available at spot but I was still happy with the price I paid.

As with 99% of all RM Sterling silver products, there is no hint of spotting - even after 35 years. Even tarnishing is minimal or none.

Five very attractive beefy chunks of silver.

Please PM me if you have any Pdf £1 coins that are looking to sell - I still need half a dozen for the complete set of 35.

Lovely auction pickup that looked nice and as I'm no Guinea expert took a punt on... Well not that much of a punt... it was cheap! Thought I'd grade as it looked nicer every time I looked at it and hey presto... just half a grade below the best recorded on either NGC or PCGS.

Great comparison, the reverse on the 65 is much stronger than the 66, clearly better defined detail. Two stunning coins there, if I had my pick I'd take the 65 I think it has much better eye appeal... well from these photos anyway. Super coins.

I was very lucky to be able to get both of these on the day of issue.  U.S. Mint website was a nightmare.

Few more coins (and notes this time) for my 1977 collection - one an eBay purchase from the states already graded and the rest all graded by myself - super pleased with the 1977 Lunar Snake, some more top pops here for me so good grading run overall;

Some bad photos as usual, one day the light will be right

I got a Buy alert from my IG spreadbetting account on Monday when Gold hit $1850 and a support region confluenced with a 150 day EMA.

No funds in it to open a trade, so ended up loading the CC to buy some of these little ladies.
