Thanks for your kind offer, but i don't collect Maple proofs usually. I had to buy this incused one, cause i was curious about the depth of the striking and the contrast of the partial gold plating. Actually a pretty nice coin, bravo RCM. Will enjoy this coin some time, but i guess at some point it will have to find a new home.

Arrived today, and I am well happy with it... Thanks to @StBeesSilver

Personally I think this has got to be turned into a regular product as it is very very good.

not just because I have THE PROTOTYPE 😂

I think this will do well if more were made...

Portrait and Gothic coins were going cheap on E Bay, so I purchased a few Coinster.

Was a pair of 2oz's going on a facebook group this morning at £550 the pair, how the pricing has changed on these

Still want a 2oz Gothic Crown but waiting to see how low they settle

Generally speaking, do folks buy coins directly from NGC, or are they bought separately and sent to NGC to grade after the fact? Just curious.

Bought from the mint/secondary market then sent of grading.

Although a large portion also buy the resulting high grades from the secondary market.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

They are the grading service so you send your ungraded coin to them. They charge a fee and grade it, conserve it and send it back..for a fee of course. It's easier to get it sent from one of the dealers on here tbh than trying to do it yourself.

I find it interesting and impressive how many people on this forum seem to send their coins in to NGC as a matter of course.

Is there a UK depot for NGC where you can send these in locally? They seem to have a quick turn around time.

Over here the delay for NGC and PCGS is unbelievable. Its months and months of waiting.

There is a London drop off/collection point I believe, but the coins still go to America to get graded.

Oh wow. From the number of fresh new NGC slabs I see posted here I figured they had to have a satellite office in the UK doing the grading on-site.

How long is it taking you to get these submissions sent in and returned?
