The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. Happy to have received the 2019 Albert Matte Sovereign to complete my set of 2019 matte sovereigns .

I was a bit hesitant as to what my gold purchase for the month would be, until I saw this post. I definitely need to get the third instalment for my collection too, which would be the regular Matt BU coin. :) I think it's definitely a good buy/investment, since I doubt there will be more matt sovereigns in coming years. So collectors will always try to get at least one matt sovereign for their collections, and the 2019 matt BU would be the obvious choice (as the SOTD ones would not be readily available at reasonable prices). A mintage of 20,000 does not seem that much, really. Definitely a good buy and hold for the future. Just a shame the Royal Mint increased the prices recently by so much...

It's a nice 2019 set for sure. But disagree, I think based on previous royal mint cash cow-ing , there's more matt sovs to come. Surprised no talk of reverse proof release yet!

Time will tell I guess. I certainly hope this will not be the case. If there was another strike-on-the-day this year, it probably would be matt too... but I really hope there won't be another one. I can understand the Victoria and Albert couple, that was a good idea. But it should stop here to retain the specialness.
