Here's what should be the last few silver arrivals before the first gold coin in my collection (a George V Half Sovereign!!) arrives tomorrow - This includes the Canadian Silver Dollars that came yesterday, along with a Krugerrand and Libertad from last week, as well as some capsules for my 1oz bars

I apologise for all the dead thrips under the glass desk cover - Over the last few months, those little bastards got into everything. They even got into some of the capsules I ordered earlier in the summer!

My Half Sovereign finally arrived; this is the first piece of gold in my stack! This video also guest stars the 1906 F 1/2 Mark coin that I showed off a few pages back in this thread. I'm really quite impressed with this purchase, as I expected it to be quite a bit more worn than it turned out to be!

Bought 26 dimes from ebay. Price was okay.

Seller messaged me that wasnt able to ship them like promised, because of work. I did reply; thats not a problem.

Thought that i walked in scam.

Then week later received partial refund. Seller messaged that shipment did cost less than expected, so thats the reason.

I thought that this really is a scam.

Today i received a letter. There was 26 dimes and 3 extra quarters. Plus postcard where seller had written "thank you for patience".

Now postcard is on my fridge door and im thinking how i write awesome ebay feedback 😄

@UltramanArgent great vids, these are the first I've seen from you and really enjoyed your enthusiasm, goals, and presentation :) Not sure about cleaning those bars, I'm sure many like @ilovesilverireallydo and @JunkBond among others might advise. I wouldn't accept that Libertad myself from Bullionbypost, but then I stopped using them when I got 'grade A' Brits that were milked and scratched in my very early stacking days, and then I found this forum and the (for now) far cheaper silver from Europe. If I don't have an order big enough myself I have used @BackyardBullion's group order or little private orders between trusted friends on here to great effect!

I don't see the point of cotton gloves myself, especially if you only put one on and handle the coin with the other hand! I go for powder free nitrile gloves which allow a good deal of grip and are disposable. Looks like a lovely Sov, well done!!!

Sounds good to me! Thanks for all the advice  I grabbed up the gloves for an inexpensive price on Amazon, but I can definitely see the advantage of having something that's a better fit - attempting to open the press-seal bags a lot of coin dealers package their coins in can become quite frustrating with them on!

I'll also hesitate on cleaning the bars, as you suggested, too.

I would advise against cleaning the bars as you will end up with fine hairline abrasions. The milkspot won't turn into toning I am afraid.

Cracking stuff @terakris, in fact if iirc you alerted me to these (thanks so much!), they just cannot be properly photographed, can they (at least not by me)?

Likewise this absolutely lovely delivery that arrived this morning from our very own @BackyardBullion, my two lovely 100g forum bars to continue the collection!

Love them both but apologies for the 'photography', I wanted to get the whole presentation in one shot, because it has been a great step up this year as a delivered package imvho, and actually while the bars didn't come out too well, there are pro shots on BYB's website anyway

They are beautiful and I can say that year on year the quality and production values just go up and up, the presentation and delivery are simply the ultimately professional icing on the cake. Well done squire!!!

Now, which of you cheeky beggars has number 13 eh?

Managed to snag this from an antique dealer who was not been updating his prices while silver has skyrocketed. Price was melt - 10% 😉
