Today I Received.....

Been meaning to get one these for ages. Always felt these are underrated and subsequently underpriced. A bit of forum chat about them recently spurred me into action! I must say I'm not disappointed - it's a very handsome coin(s), very nicely presented. In pretty decent condition too, only a hint of toning.

My youngest's birth year, so a special year for me. Will be on the lookout for a 2007 soon...

Unfortunately I think there has been a set every year since 1997, so nice big date run to aim for!

For me it'll just be the special year's. I passed up a 1997 set like yours for £95 a couple of months ago - and still feel like a mug for not buying it! A cheeky 2014 would be nice!

 Got home to a couple of new coins bought on here. My first 50 peso and I must say I like it a lot, very heavy and satisfying! The griffin is nine too shabby either.

 Between these and a soverign set it's been an expensive few weeks!

Received my @DrDave patented mobile coin rig today, my first attempt with it and already producing great results with this 1859 half sovereign

  

My thanks to Dave, great bit of kit that takes up hardly any space.  For this picture I literally just popped it onto the desk and shone my lamp into the diffuser, this was literally the first shot at 2.9% zoom using a crappy old ibone
