Thank you @Ducat916 for the 5oz Gothic Crowns. I returned to the RM and opted for a refund on my 10oz Gothic’s due to poor quality- these beautiful 5oz examples are a fantastic substitute.
The Four Generations Crown from Chards is another step nearer my Crown run 👍I already have a Jubilee Quarter Ounce but I couldn’t resist a PF70 graded example for only a little over issue price, at an eBay auction, not sure about the label, jury is out.
Also received is a Platinum Jubilee Silver Proof stamp cover- only 200 issued by the Royal Mint. And finally, a 1970 Proof Coin Set featuring the last issues of pre- Decimal Coinage & a lovely King George V Silver Jubilee medal.
Your photos are soooooo much better than mine , great collection you have there!

Screw capsule wasn't fully closed. Queenie's cheek no longer scratched but the reverse has numerous issues:
Quite a big ding on the body of the unicorn, missing frosting on bottom of the unicorns cheek, the swirl to the right of the crown, the bottom corner of the first 2, the rim under the 0, numerous small spots of frosting missing above the Mon Droit & the I of the DEI on the obverse.
Some can only be seen when you tilt the coin in light but once seen, can't be unseen.
Obviously I'm going to send it back, rang RM today & the chap said I could have another replacement as they always mint more than required. I asked if he could guarantee the replacement would be free of issues as this is already a replacement. He deflected the question & said to return for a replacement or refund.
Not sure what to do, am thinking of just getting a refund, getting frustrated at RM returns now

Well RM have put this right. Received a new Portrait today & very pleased with it. Hope everyone else who returned got a good replacement.

Mmm, interesting point. I did ask the how can they replace a struck on the day & I asked if they'd struck more on the day than were required, for the inevitable requests for replacements. I've asked for a replacement...we shall see

I mentioned I'd seen lots of issues with this coin including @BackyardBullion YouTube video & that my coin has the exact same issues.
I asked what can be done, can they be re-mint & I get a replacement. She said they'd seen plenty of issues of the coin online but the coins were sold out & she couldn't guarantee me a replacement, this would have to decided at a higher level & I got the impression that they'd been informed of so many issues, a meeting at RM may be held to decide what to do.
As with others, this is a 2 coin set so don't really just want a refund.
She advised to ring back on Monday when they may have more news of a way forward with these coins.
She was extremely helpful & I feel for the customer services staff, having to not only deal with a huge amount of releases (there's the FA cup coin on Monday) but they also have to deal with more calls generated by sub par coins.
I can only hope they deal with an ordinary person lucky enough to get one one these coins, myself, the same way they deal with the big RM spenders - I really hope they re-mint these & do a proper QC check before sending out 🤞

The Royal Mint is very aware of the issues raised with The Gothic Crown Portrait release. There are a lot of quality issues with the coins as well as capsules.
They have seen my videos, they have seen other peoples videos and social media posts.
They have even read this thread believe it or not.
They are hopefully going to make things better and act to help customers.
I just received today a brand new box for my defective 2 coin Seymour Panther box.
MAKE SURE YOU COMMUNICATE ISSUES LIKE BAD CAPSULES AND BAD BOXES TO THEM!
Otherwise they cannot hope to put it right!
