Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Bought as bullion so pleased to see a proof turn up, no case or COA. Capsule is the RM screw type and has a few marks but the coin looks good upon first inspection

I really love that design. It must have been a fantastic feeling findings it's a proof, your lucky day. May I ask where did you pick it up?

Yeah a bit unexpected, it was listed as a specific year sovereign from atkinsons, but no indication from what I remember that it was a proof.

I always lay out coins in this fashion before sorting, this is the strangest batch of George V i've got to date. Lots of 1911,1912 London as always, but the Perth run is very odd!

You need larger paper.

Is that a single buy??

I bought this from MCM for $39.95 and the next day the price was $99. It must have been a mistake. They might have meant the MS 69 was that price.

The slab is 6 1/2" by 4 1/2 " ... not a very nice display.

George V is tricky to lay out because of so many branch mints, young heads fit perfectly in two rows of 3,  1871-1879 then 1880-1887 :)
