Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

A stunning quality dragon. With all the shortcomings at the Royal Mint, this one is definitely worth its PF70. The picture actually doesn't do it justice. Thanks @Skelator88

Did the mint go over coins manually with a stamp to correct these errors? And what era did they stop this and instead just send the errors back to the foundry, or whatever?

It's the die not the coin that is corrected or changed. There are various reasons as to why it may happen (eg using dies from the previous year to save costs), but ones like above are just mistakes and poor quality control
