This WEEK I received loads, my postman has been like a fairy tale dwarf miner delivering PM's on a daily basis. A 2oz perth mint dragon with 2 x 1oz tiger and dragon coins.

A 1oz gold 2021 brit

A queens 95th birthday proof silver collaboration of the royal mint and Canadian mint. Bought in a fit of patriotism but disappointingly plain.

And lastly my favourite, a silver roman ring nearly 2000 years old. My imagination runs wild when I hold it, priceless. 20210528_092503.thumb.jpg.1c4654ef90e9411e53ad1322b1d28e19.jpg

Yeah, metal detector find in south Lincolnshire. I just hope there wasnt a bone in it when it was found.

Jewel in the crown, the 1859 Ansell. Those who have heard the story know that its a pretty hard coin to get hold of and in good condition. Been after one of these for a long time (thank you @CadmiumGreen for the inspiration), finally picked one up. Lovely coin, centrepiece of my collection. It has a relatively old NGC label so will send it off to get it conserved and regraded as I think it could achieve a grade a little higher

Beautiful coin. I can finally see where the additional line on the ribbon actually is. I bet it set you back a pretty penny mind.

Thanks. I was sceptical of the additional line on some I’ve seen as well lol. I passed on a few because it was too ambitious. Lets just say I won’t be buying any PMs for a while unless I’m selling to buy 😩

Looking for 1981 and 1983-1984 GOLD Ghanaian coins

This document isn’t for this specific piece, But I couldn’t resist picturing them together would of been a sin if I didn’t 😜

But nevertheless the rarest true vintage Indian bar I’ve come across, I.e Dena bank with the HM Mint hallmarks etc but this is definitely on a higher par due to the history of the bank/partition/bought during WW2 & possibly even a love token 😍

A historical specimen for sure

Lovely example @Heirlooms. The history of George Ansell is also very interesting!

Anyone out there any good at translating Egyptian hieroglyphics?

It's been a while, I'm a bit rusty.

From right to left:

Falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj, stuffed grape

Kufta kabab, shish kabab, lamb chops.

Baklava.

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

Ancient Egyptian inspired silver bar.

This arrived in at @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer recently in an assorted lot of various silver coins and bars. For now, I have diverted it to my desk.

I have no idea who made it, as there are no easily identifiable makers' marks or hallmarks, unless they are in hieroglyphics. It probably is fairly recent.

This side does have an english inscription "1 TROY OUNCE - 999 FINE SILVER"

...and the "Obverse":
