The real reason I like the quarter Oz over sovs... I can tell the Mrs that they only cost £25 each as shown on the obverse.

She was livid when she worked out I spent £400 on coins this week 🧐

Mine wentbthr other way round when she thought my coins were worth upto $100 each then asked about my 1921 peace, when I said $6000 I could see the wheels turning...lol...next thing she's asking about every coin.

Yes, she may seem supportive now..but your days are numbered unfortunately.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Lucky the porch pirates never struck... They'd of had real treasure that time and all other parcels on your doorstep would've been a target for sure after that find

We were only out for 30 mins. Every other time they take it to the sorting office and leave a card. I was expecting a trip there tomorrow

These will absolutely be popular. Theres less of these than the proof sovereign and the only other way to have that amazing matte finish is on the beautiful but very expensive quintuple sovereign. Struck on the day of her 70th anniversary ascending to the thrown and also the same year of her passing. There's a lot to these particular coins and mine is a loooong time keeper.

I forgot to mention the only sovereign to have a smooth edge as well. A nice extra feature.

my thoughts exactly for going for them. just seems to tick every box to be popular/in demand.

However they seem to have been a bit of a damp squib initially since launch, can see that changing now

I think these were always going to be a sleeper. They are the most unique of all the 2022 sovereign versions. My opinion.... Aside from the quintuple sovereign's, the sotd and the piedfort sovereign will be right up there with the most sought after in time. My sotd I'll never sell I don't think. I'm debating grading it as I think it's easily a 70  but I like the way it's presented raw.

@TheShinyStuff - I think that Silver is a much more interesting space than gold due to the much larger variety of silver things people make at accessible prices.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Agreed, the price of Silver regardless of premiums & VAT make it much more accessible to the majority of people. Don't get me wrong, I like gold, but the price is prohibitive to most, especially now.

Also, silver is just prettier.
