Now my oldest sovereign in the collection. Figured if there is ever a gold confiscation, chances are that rare 19th century coins might be exempt. Similar to what Lynette Zang from ITM Trading posted here on the US gold confiscation and which coins were exempt: https://www.itmtrading.com/blog/gold-laws-revealed-what-you-didnt-know-about-gold-laws-by-lynette-zang/

Back from NGC. Happy about the 70. Not so much with the 69. That's now 5 coins from the Perth opal series that came back a 69 even though I asked for cleaning. But was told that half the time if they would see a tiny piece of dirt, etc. they would just grade it 69 without offering cleaning. So all my 69s will go to Pcgs and probably all my coins going forward.

Just a few words about those mintdirect PCGS eligible coins. They ain't guaranteed good quality coins. It's a nice packaging, that's why i collect some of them. After minting they get packaged in OMP, than they got send to APMEX and than they seal them into the mintdirect packaging.
So especially uncapsuled bullion will have the same issues, as always. The first APMEX/PCGS mintdirect release was the 2020 Eagle. Just realized, my both got toned on the edge, so maybe not the best sealing.
But i still like the packaging and will collect some coins i like as APMEX MD
That is one fine collection

Never purchased gold bullion would you think it’s a good investment for the future ?
and if yes why could you explain
thanks
I don't view gold as an investment such as a stock where you want to buy low and sell high. Gold is an insurance against governments printing too much money so they can spend it on wars, the pharma industry, etc. all the while eroding the value/ purchasing power of the money in my account I worked hard for.
This is a good video on gold by EB Tucker (have read his book, can highly recommend it)

And just received another 2022 sovereign from Atkinsons Bullion. Don't trust the FED and other central banks that they will increase rates significantly in the near future. If they would, the stock market would take a nose-dive and Powell, Pelosi and others are heavily invested in the stock market. Can't go wrong with gold

Wow, didn't expect to see these opal series coins here on TSF! I was seriously considering collecting them as I really like opal as gemstone. Nice collection! Although I am not entirely sure what I think about slabbing them - I quite liked the original display boxes and it's not like that someone would have questioned grade or authenticity of these anyway high quality proof coins... But I don't much like slabs in general so don't worry about my opinion too much 🙂
Love them as well. Unfortunately some of these are pretty hard to come by. I only had them graded as some years, especially 2016, get a hefty premium at pf70.

You need to obscure the barcodes as well as the grading certificate numbers if the intention was to hide the latter. Each barcode contains the certificate number and grade, and can be read with the NGC app or any standard barcode reader app on a phone.
Oh! Thanks for the info!

Indeed, I think this is a pivotal time we are in. And if you have physical in your own possession, it's definitely safer than having digital numbers in a bank account.
Totally agree! When I mentioned years ago to friends, family and co-workers that Venezuela's hyperinflation could also happen the Western world, I was looked upon like a lunatic. 99% of the people still don't know how to protect themselves from inflation even thought the basic info on the subject and pm is all over the web. It's gonna be a hard fall for the majority unfortunately

Nothing extraordinary - but given the current economic state of the world and a somewhat poor outlook towards the value of paper money - another 25 ounces added to the stack.
Thanks go to @silversky
