Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

2 1 oz Platinum bars, an 1856 Napoleon III gold 20 Francs coin, and a Palladium Maple Leaf.  Ordered the maple leaf on  a Black Friday at spot deal, so I was very pleased when spot went up $120 within two weeks.  First time purchases of platinum and palladium.  Bought both at the recent dips mostly out of curiousity at not having any of either.  I don't really intend to spend significantly more in either.  I'm just curious where they go from here in their cycles.  If I was tempted to buy more I'd probably go for QB's and Ballerina's.  I can't stand the obverse of Canadian coins.  The Queen's bust is so fugly.  They really need to spend some money and redesign it to bring it on par with GB, Australia etc.

Excellent spread of PM diversity! Your Palladium Maple has a Reverse Proof effect to it, which is kind of cool.👍😀

Today I received a load of hassle from a Parisienne coin dealer...sold me this coin as TTB+....you can get your fingernail under the crack!

Caveat Emptor indeed...return opened so let’s see how it goes with you know who and PayPal..

Beware a scanned image and not a photograph...they can hide such a lot!
