Been looking forward to this arrival. 2006 1/4 oz proof gold Britannia Portrait set.

The 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005 designs, but dated 2006, along with a standard 2006 proof.

An Isle of Man Angel and Russia St. George also.

Love the set of 5 Philip Nathan design Britannia quarter oz Au proof set. I was unaware that BRM re-issued all  5 designs as a set in 2006. I have the same all 5 Philip Nathan design as a set but from their original years of issue (1987, 1997, 2001, 2003 & 2005). I presume your 1999 date is a typo.

Yes, it's the 1997 design - the 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005 designs with the 2006 date were a limited mintage of 250 (all in these sets).

Got distracted and bought on impulse this very expensive (even with the RM 20% Xmas deal) £2.60 worth of 10p’s.  Not one of my best investments of the year, but nice to look at all the same.

A few Perth Mint pickups from this week.

First is the new 2oz silver bullion version of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One. Very attractive coin.

Next is the 2oz silver antiqued Dragon & Phoenix coin. I bought one of these when they were first issued and put my name on the waiting list for the 2nd which came in this week. 

And lastly a Christmas present from the mint, a tin of Perth Mint mints!
