Well I think this is very interesting...

Assuming the Royal Mint set the available quantity of every "unlimited" item to 1 million, then the amounts remaining in stock means that they have sold the following quantities so far today:

  • 31,800 x 50p buncs
  • 37,400 x £5 buncs (maybe higher than the above due to it not circulating?)
  • 9,200 x 1oz silver proofs
  • 6,700 x 50p silver proofs
  • 700 x 1/4oz gold proofs
  • 220 x 50p gold proofs
  • 14 x 50p platinum proofs
  • 164 x 1oz gold proofs
  • 21 x 1oz platinum proofs

Don't forget to add the piedforts to the mix.

Thanks for sharing. Shocking how little demand there is for platinum

I think if some of these start to be shipped out in the next few weeks there will be an uptick when people start sharing them on social media and YouTube.

I had the same , but I have couple of orders pending from last week. It would be so much better if they tell the order number  that is dispatched.

They're not struck yet.  They're supposed to be sent out in January.

2346 x £5 silver proof piedforts

19 x 50p gold proof piedforts

6 x £5 platinum proof piedforts

1942 x 50p silver proof piedforts

Thanks.  These numbers are a bit shocking since I know the dealers order a lot of these.

The numbers sold seem a bit low, and yet the queues have been very long all day.  When I got on this morning, the queue was huge.

Window shoppers or tyre kickers this was heavily advertised so I’d imagine a lot had a look and thought nope save the money for the gas bill

So what have the 1000s in the queue today been buying?

I think we have to consider that a lot of people have a few windows open when demand is like this. Also people didn’t know what was on offer and what the prices were until they’d reached the end of the queue.

I have a feeling they were hacking into my computer to view my porn.  Some world-class stuff in there.  Let's just say that I have a full hard drive.
