Not sure about the memorial design however for some reason I really like that portrait, they did a great job on it.

 Wonder if it will just be 50 p's? I think it's safe to assume these will fly out the door

The 50p is the probably the only one I'd be interested in from these. Not to keen on the others.

In fairness Charles's portrait looks quite good all things considered.

I don't think I'll be a buyer though unless there's something a bit special they haven't shown yet.

Yeah the obverse does look a bit “busy” but it’s still nice, all things considered.

It’s interesting how the platinum jubilee coins with better designs can actually double up as memorial coins (in a way).

Am I right in assuming the coins will be BU? I imagine a highly graded coin would be quite sought after, but standard value of they release millions of them. If the initial release has a low mintage it'll be worth getting some for sure.

They’ll be silver, gold and BU on Monday.

The regular circulation strikes will be seemingly out around December.

I wonder how many 50p will be put into circulation in December? The chances of seeing them actually in circulation will be low, they will be off into peoples collections with the idea no doubt of getting several and selling in the future. Buy! Buy! Buy!

Love the designs and the image of Charles is spot on. You wouldn't believe how many comments I have gotten in the last 3 weeks about how horrible Charles on coins will be, this should change minds.

So 2 different qualities of coin? I'm not too ofay with how this works, but BU is not proof quality, but not meant for circulation so it's a v high standard. What would the other quality be? Proof?

The portrait has a design style of Humphrey Paget Edward VIII portrait......They have got they this right!

I like the 50p.  I think I will try and pre-order from a dealer.  I fear the Queue will be horrendous on Monday.

Same for George VII, it ties in very nicely also I see a bit of JC in this portrait to with the attention to facial lines like the QEII portrait.
