Thanks Kevin.  My interest in the Hammered coins started when putting together a Type Set of Sixpences from the inaugural Edward VI to date- and it’s got me hooked!  Particularly Charles I issues, so many varieties.  But I still intend to continue to collect Sovereigns that I like 👍

Arrival from @arphethean.  Very unusual and intricate design.  Love the Tokelau coins.

Of course, the Golden Ratio has been used in photography, and art in general, for a long time as a composition guide.

I took the usual 'face on' shots, but decided to do an edge shot to show-off the details.  Needed a stack of 17 images to get the whole thing, varying the focus by a couple of mm or so each time.

If they're 1:1 they're quite big.  I used to have some .50 calibre cartridge cases at one point and they're quite large.

The matte finish is gorgeous on these coins. Beautiful isn't accurate enough but all I can say!

So this isn't gold or silver  and really belongs on a "yesterday I received" but here is my latest ..... a customised laser engraved tungsten wedding ring with joint UK and US flags. Beautiful one of a kind just like the Mrs.

Today I found  in a local antique shop. A William & Mary half crown , A Elizabeth 1st shilling and a very nice 1711 Queen Ann sixpence..  had to drag myself away as they had many fine coins.
