Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

From @GypsyJonny

I had my boiler serviced recently. The plumber serviced the boiler and gave me £60 for 4x 2022 silver brits 😁.

I missed them so snapped these up when they came up for sale.

Wow, lucky man, for £15 each he should give a discount on the next service!

Happy to add 'Silly Billy' Sov to the collection, from the Coin Cabinet.

V happy with their service, low buyer's premium, fast efficient delivery, low shipping cost. NZ customs can be very random so I like the customs declaration the Coin Cabinet put on the label "Collectable Token GBP20"! Technically I should have been charged GST (VAT) as it's 22k gold but avoided this extra hassle because of the label. I'm GST registered so not a biggy when they do get caught in the net!

I wonder if I could get away with moving back to NZ and declaring mine as a 'coin collection.'

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

I'm sure you could as a one-off, you might have to hire a Hercules to fly it over though!😅

Where in NZ were you?

I was born in Christchurch.  Lived in Auckland for a while before I moved to Blighty.

Do you really pay GST on Krugerrands?
