The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. Great pickups @CadmiumGreen.  I love those Dinars.  One reason I love old silver and gold coins, regardless of the metal content value, the history attached to them is awesome.  Hard to imagine holding something used to transact over 900 years ago.  I like your style!

Thank you so very much! From our previous exchanges you and I have very similar likes and appreciation of the unique varieties and history, as others on TSF do as well. That is what is awesome about the camaraderie, encouragement, and sharing on the Forum. I was fortunate enough to see these Dinars on APMEX at a good price during one of the higher gold prices. So took advantage of the opportunity to add these coins with a history in the former Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia region (centered primarily in Iran). I got at least three to satisfy my gold content of at least a half Sov. 😁

1/10 2017 Krugerrand from PolarPanda

1/10 2016 Wedgetailed Eagle from Morezone.

Love both coins, thank you

The wedgetail is stunning, ain’t it?! I got one too. Love the Krug too. There is something about the 1/10s that I love...not sure what it is but they look awesome!

A six ounce silver copy of one of the worlds rarest coins, the 1933 Double Eagle. Only 13 coins in existence and only one in private hands. Fascinating story if you want to look it up. Theft, court cases, a king and the US secret service all involved, amongst others.

Last sold in 2002 for $7.6 million.

Watched a documentary about the coin recently, if I ever remember what it was called I will post it..great story! A guy at the mint swapped a load for 1932’s and had a stash of them at home...only discovered when he died.. then the Feds stole the lot!!

Can the feds steal things that were already stolen?

In theory they weren’t stolen, they were ‘swapped’ ..one ounce for one ounce..but I know what you mean...but let’s be honest...the feds can  steal just about everything they want!

The Pale Gold look is amazing, I wish they pushed out more coins with a silver gold mix as opposed to the sovereign copper gold mix. When my first 2019 sovereign turned up from the royal mint i was shocked at how brown it was, might as well be pure copper!

Totally agree with you there. One of my favourite coins I have bought is a Australian proof sovereign which has a good and silver combo. Beautiful looking gold.
