Mine was a very happy trade in person with @shawy2510 a 2oz gold platinum jubilee. Got a decent price and graded out at a 70. Entered into the retirement stack at back of safe deposit box for later life

Nice timing. You got a few hundred squid profit already wrapped up already in that @Tn21as I'm sure you'll know. 100% a one that will steadily grow a little bit each year I'm pretty sure

I can't make my mind up but it would be one of these for a favourite.

For me it was a hard choice between the SOTD jubilee sovereign or the piedfort jubilee sovereign. The fact it'll be paired up with the memorial piedfort eventually means the jubilee piedfort wins out as my favourite purchase. Maybe a controversial choice but I love it.

@richatthecroft wow a near 400 year old coin in such condition. I wonder if some of these other stunning modern proofs through this thread will be in such good condition in 400 years ?

Despite making a promise on not risking buying ungraded stuffs at auctions, took a punt on a raw 2012 proof sov based on shoddy photos at a random county auction and after NCS it got back as PF70UC. It was not dirt cheap as raw either mind you, but got lucky and was well relieved pleased it turned out good. 😅

Numerous happy purchases from the forum as well in both graded and ungraded sections - thanks to @SVcollector@shawy2510 @richatthecroftjust to name a few.

Just a double sovereign from me. Had to move mountains to get the money together for it amid some financial dramas. Was having a run of bad luck in general and handing over £700+ to someone on here who soon after was kicked off the site for being unreliable was a bit of a risk to say the least. But it makes me smile every time i look at it...

The carded + sleeved 1/10oz platinum 2022 Britannia. I don't think many were sold in the relatively small window they were on sale for, then platinum went up, and then the other big thing happened that makes it seem that little bit more special now.

1/2 ounce Armenia Noah's ark. This coin is in a class by itself.  It's now my favorite gold bullion coin.  The presentation is absolutely fantastic.

I've got one of these as well and agree 💯%. It might only be a small little thing but feels like it has so much going for it besides just it's intrinsic value.

I was happy with these. 

BTW I retuned the £5 MS70MATTE to the NGC for them to put the coin straight in the capsule.

I like World Gold and was after a Belgian 20 Francs, but wasn't prepared to pay the 30% premium they typically attract.

I bought a French 20 Franc for 6% premium from HGM instead but when it arrived it was an 1877 Belgian 20 Franc in great condition...reeesult!!! 😃

I got a nice 1877 shield in AboutEF condition or thereabouts for a little over £370 a couple of months ago.  It was a nice surprise as I didn't actually order a shield, just a young vic.  There are also some coins from Germania, which I haven't finished taking photos of.

Although a sovereign man at heart, this coin is incredible and I think I would call it my best for 2022. The silky satin toning, in very deep blues and purples at the rim of the coin grading across the fields to the soft greys, pinks and gold tinge of the cameo’s, particularly on the Victoria side are very satisfying
