I saw this listing.. are you going to make a 4-coin Bullion set?

Was that the right link? That takes me to a box for a single coin.  I probably won't bother making up a "bullion set" unless I manage to stumble upon a box that is ridiculously cheap. Just for the novelty! :D

The quarters are now orderable: https://www.royalmint.com/invest/bullion/bullion-coins/gold-coins/the-quarter-sovereign-2022-gold-bullion-coin/

I wonder if the delay was due to not having the right sized capsules readily to hand! The ones in blister packs are still not available to order as I write this.

I think that just means it's box number 4. They're all for single sovereigns looking at the photos.

You sir are correct 🤣 Doh! Ruddy expensive for a single box.

This actually is a three coin box, still not what you are after tho... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294708612459?hash=item449e008d6b:g:tB4AAOSwC29h22dD

Is this a proof sov, with fingerprints, sitting on a fetching blanket? Or is it too early in the morning for me.

Looks like a Bullion.

:D It reminds me of some year back, where a seller was trying to sell me 'proof' sovereign coins. He claimed that the fields are highly reflective and is thus a proof coin...

The portrait looks too shiny to be a proof, so just a shiny example of a bullion veersion, but with fingerprints.

Almost certainly a typical ebay fraudulent description rip-off attempt.

Where is the certificate?, box?

If it is a proof, at Chards, it would be a "Grade C" proof, and about half the price.

Never forget ebay is a 4 letter word.

I saw this last night and just laughed at it. The person clearly doesn’t know what a proof coin is and if he did, it wouldn’t be sitting on a blanket.

I’ve also seen slabbed ‘proof’ coins on EBay graded ms68…

fakes in capsules..

best avoided I think

Just had an email from Louise at "Coins of the realm" informing me that my 2022 sovereign has achieved a 70 grade.

Congrats 👍

Very nice. One of the lucky ones 🥳

Some members have had quality issues with this new sovereign, but with over 98% achieving a 70 grade in the NGC census, so far , I think the Royal Mint should be congratulated on the quality of these sovereigns.

I would have been very unlucky if my coin had not achieved a 70 grade.

I was having a nose through the NGC population reports the other day and had the exact same thoughts about the 2022 proof population report.

I was also quite impressed by how quickly people had managed to get their coins graded, it was only released about a month ago and the number of PF70s are on a par with or larger than all the other special design sovereigns all bar 2017.

For anyone still waiting, just got a response that they are "unable to give you a specific date for the dispatch of your 2022 Sovereign sets as we are still awaiting completion of the sets from manufacturing"

I suppose it's better than it being cancelled (or worse, getting someone else's return)

Yeah getting a good set is paramount, especially after you have waited so long.

I'd love to visit the mint for a day to witness the carnage lol, still working on the tudor panther/2022 sovs and quartered arms crown replacements/outstanding orders.

Not to mention the upcoming SOTD sovereigns and portrait crown.

That's one epic undertaking for any business and would imagine it could make great viewing.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip
