I've been pretty good at buying on the relative lows over the last 3 years and continuing to accumulate. This feels like it might be another one to me, but I will probably hold fire for a couple of days at least.

So now that the price has gone down by about £125 versus its recent high in GBP, does the forum's collective wisdom think this is a buying opportunity - or better to hold fire for a few more days or weeks?
I'm genuinely on the fence myself. I will probably hold fire over the weekend but I have a fairly itchy trigger finger at the moment. -

I'm working from home too, and likewise my workload has increased as I now have additional daily responsibilities as a result of the Covid-19 situation. And my employer has 'asked' me to take a 20% salary cut as well.
Hey ho. At least I still have a job and some income for the moment 🙂 -
Some lovely bits of history there. Godless Florin, William IV shilling...
The guineas (and third guinea) are probably only really worth melt, with the possible exception of that last one (1787) if it isn't ex-jewellery as well. I'd definitely keep that one 😊
Have you gone through the predecimal silver and bronze for rarities and varieties?

Nice coins!
Shame they are probably all going to be dates with very high mintages.
What are you planning on doing with them? -
Bought quite a bit more silver about a month ago when the price was about £13.
Bought some more a couple of weeks ago when the price was about £10.25.
Will buy again once I've got paid at the end of the month.
Am definitely in at these prices.

Awesome. I bought mine from the RM on the day of release, so yours is a tenner cheaper than mine 😊
I hope you never tire of it. It will certainly be the last coin I would sell.

Mine says hello 😊
I suspect you paid less for yours than I did for mine, so doubly well done!

Yes, a pity. Beautiful design the Britannia- someone commented the other day, speculating that a 10oz Britannia coin might be something the RM could consider- I would like to see this- particularly if they resurrected the older special designs and equally the Oriental Britannia designs would look fabulous as a 10oz coin.
I'm actually quite relieved that the series is ending after 3 coins, because as I've been buying the gold ones as well as the silver ones, it's been very bad for my bank account 😉
That said - I agree that if they made a 10 oz silver version I'd spring for that one as well The 2018 design is my favourite, i think it's the 'purist' version, closest to the original Trade Dollar coins.

Still doing exactly this. Bought silver and platinum again in Dec, bought gold again in Dec and Jan.

So, what makes you think that the gold price will fall rapidly below $1000?
I am genuinely interested in your explanation (in words please, rather than charts) - and your expected time-frame for this big price movement. For example: before September 2020?
I have no axe to grind with you, just want to understand your reasoning and thought process.
Cheers 🙂
