... and it looks like we have managed to derail, subvert, and hijack yet another topic / thread.

In an attempt to get it back on track, I saw this today:

An 1853 half sovereign, which could be a possible overdate, but is probably just a "normal" 1853 with a doubled date.

It is still interesting though.

Still one of my favorite coin series. Sixth issue of the "AUSTRALIA AT NIGHT" series, the Leadbeater's Possum. 1000 mintage, nice for a 1 OZ. Lovely coin by the Perth Mint and a great addition to this series and my collection.

Loved picking up the queens beasts series over the years and the completer was the perfect end to those. Not a 'fan' of these tudor fellows yet but ackt well......we go again!

Really amazing details on every single coin. Like how the kangaroo's head is reflected in the water, the ants on the echidna coin, the structure of the moon... Every single coin is well thought out.

The coins are coming from Downies / Australia, minted by the Perth Mint. I like every single coin, the Kangaroo is my favorite so far. 

Wow what a set, I have a soft spot for coins by the perth mint :)

Yes, the coin is perfect. It's just micro scratches on the capsule that the camera is picking up.
