Can anyone with prior experience let me know how many days after release RM dispatch the coins/sets?

Very excited to get my 5 coin set & individual full coin!

Thanks!

Hard to say but with the Tudor beast I think it was 3-4 days for the lucky ones.

Then a lot took weeks and weeks.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

I have never even owned a 3 sovereign set - let alone a 4 coin set but thats the one I went for, I have yet to see a double sovereign in person so cant wait! I figured this is a special year not to be repeated for many many more so hit the credit card.

Well done the doubles are great in hand.

I've never owned or seen a double double either, wanted the 3 coin set my self, but missed out on it. Hope you enjoy your set when it turns up

Well done, you won't regret it and certainly won't be out of pocket if you want to sell it on one day.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by this design, I think it could have been more intricate and "classic" looking. But nonetheless, this is going to become a well known and sought after special reverse sovereign in years to come, there's no doubt about it. I ordered one full sovereign myself. Will have it graded First Releases.

What’s your opinion of the set in hand?

They look less red in your pic🤗

I totally agree. It’s not a bad design, but it could’ve been much more delicate and classic.

I’m reserving judgement until I’ve seen it in hand; most of the RM pics make coins look a bit one dimensional; so I am hoping in hand with the proof fields it offers more than the pics

So I have a 1983 uncirculated £1.

It would appear, (forgive my scepticism) that the mint have polished a t##d.

This is what I meant when I said the Sovereign design could have been more delicate and classic.

It could’ve been much more intricate too. The 19th century coinage has among the most intricate designs.

I wonder if todays designers simply lack imagination, are too cowardly to attempt intricacy, or are just asked to keep things simple so production costs can be kept low.

They are fresh out of reform school so what else can we expect 😏

Now the dust has settled...

This was my first purchase from the RM and opted for a single Sov, was tempted to buy a couple to possibly trade one for an earlier proof from the big years but held my nerve at just one.  Was an interesting hour or so and was shocked in being able to order so easily, what queuing system 😉

Now I'm looking forward to receiving my first proof and hopefully a bullion version at a later date, for me it's been zero to ~3 Oz's in under a year - who's not regretting their COVID lockdown purchases 😎

Looking to complete a date run of Bu Sovs and still require; 2010, 2011, 2018 & 2019
