thank your for your help , do you think he should send it back in same package and change the addresses only ?

I don’t think it matters as long as it is sent securely. Either way, it would be good to take pics of the coin’s condition before sending it off.

The first (I believe) UK ebay auction for the silver Una ended yesterday, the hammer price being £195.

Although £15 above issue price, after feebay and PP costs, the seller probably ended up about £15 out of pocket for his troubles.

In the final 24 hours of the auction there were a mere 4 bids, raising the bid from £152 to £195.

Attractive as the coin is, these stats are a long way from a ringing endorsement for those thinking this might me a great investment - in the short term, at least.

I think one sold for roughly £225 not long ago? If you go back though this thread it was mentioned I believe.

My apologies if that's the case - I must have missed that post.

So, prices are in free-fall !

Yeah a few have sold. I view the silver as something to own because I love the design and not an investment. RM took the profit in the high issue price.

I dont see the Silver Una as an Investment coin - its one to treasure and enjoy. The Gold Una is almost certainly an investment coin, I am personally aware of dealer offers of £8k and a retail sale today at £12,000 though some of the prices on speculative listings on ebay are sky high. Next week Gold Una's are scheduled to be delivered by the mint and i expect to see a few more sales but not many.

Great for those that bought. Hats off to everyone that had the guts to press the final button! I had one in my basket but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Also on eBay is a 2016 Peter Rabbit 50p for £8.8 million  - I am really regretting not buying this one when it was issued!

I'm starting to wonder where my silver Una is at the moment. Ordered it on the 25th of Nov., Royal Mint sent an e-mail on the 29th saying it had been received by The Royal Mail being readied for shipping and nothing further and here it is the 14th of Dec. I live in the U.S. so I wonder if I should contact the mint to get a trace on the tracking number or what. Very frustrating.

Apparently there has been problems with minting them so they might be behind.

The average price on the silver proof seems to be about £230 atm which is very good considering 5000 mintage

3000 mintage ;)

Interestingly (perhaps) they are still available from the Westminster Collection @ £195.00 + £4.99 P&P. Might be the lowest price currently for anyone who missed out.

But if you do a quick search on Westminster Collection and check out some Trustpilot reviews you'll see they're not someone you'd want to buy from ever.

Better off paying a little extra and getting it from someone trustworthy like coin connection.

I have bought from them with no issues. I would normally tell people to stay well clear as Westminster Collection are masters at repackaging things that are average and marketing them as premium. I genuinely dread to think of how many people have pissed money away with them due to not knowing any better. I don't see the negative though if you've got the chance to get a sold out coin at close to the original RRP.
