Some more from @GoldDiggerDave latest batch of conserved & slabbed proofs. Not all things golden are 70's (apart from that 1992 half). Take my word for it but that 2023 1/4 Brit was an unholy mess picked up cheap but Dave gave it a damn good scrubbing with Vim and Brillo pad to get a 68. Cheers again Dave.

Postie delivered some goodies. Another PF70 sov proof and an unusual colourised USA $10 2000 1/4oz - I'm not much into colourised coins but it wasn't much above spot and I like millennium coins. Her face looks like Skeletor. Might go at it with some acetone, we'll see.

GBP spot was around £175/tr.oz back in 2000 and Gordon Brown thought it the ideal time to unload half of U.K.'s sovereign gold holdings. It's gone down historically as the single most idiotic move of any chancellor.
