There’s a thread that I started a few years ago about George V ‘small head’ sovereigns that you might find interesting. I’ll try and find it for you.

Did you find that thread mate patiently waiting here? 🤣🤣

Thanks to @GoldDiggerDave for sorting this👍 not a great fan of slabbed coins, but at least the card won’t get tatty!

Gem proof..? Poor coin has been through a right trial! Still, only another 150 out there and those are in pretty expensive sets🤔😮

What's a ballpark figure on getting one of these comically large slabs? Tempted to try it on a 1/40oz trial of the pyx coin for optimal slab to coin size ratio 🤣

I have seen large coins and medals slabbed in these.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

It is quite large, more of a width thing I think due to it being in a card, otherwise my slabbed 5oz silver Britannia is pretty big! I assume yours is in a card as well? What year?🤔

Yes, all the small coins come on the same cards so the capsule would be the same size regardless. 2021 I think.

Today, the position is co-resident with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.  I feel that if this tradition were to be revived, many of the Royal Munt's quality assurance issues might get resolved in fairly short order.

Or indeed the finances of the realm!
