Gem proof..? Poor coin has been through a right trial! Still, only another 150 out there and those are in pretty expensive sets🤔😮

Historically, if the Trial of the Pyx was failed, the Master of the Mint would be beheaded or have his hand chopped off.  Today, the position is co-resident with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.  I feel that if this tradition were to be revived, many of the Royal Munt's quality assurance issues might get resolved in fairly short order.

What's a ballpark figure on getting one of these comically large slabs? Tempted to try it on a 1/40oz trial of the pyx coin for optimal slab to coin size ratio 🤣

It is quite large, more of a width thing I think due to it being in a card, otherwise my slabbed 5oz silver Britannia is pretty big! I assume yours is in a card as well? What year?🤔

Yes, all the small coins come on the same cards so the capsule would be the same size regardless. 2021 I think.
