Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Thanks you, it was a hard choice for me between the two, but as I'm not keeping it, i went with the brighter finish. The antique one does look very nice though.

@Leo1 - the pictures are not too bad.  Maybe look into using an app like OpenCamera and working with raw (.DNG) images.  There are photo apps like DarkTable that will process these.  Then you can convert to JPEG with the most appropriate settings.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Congratulations!

But....why to put the QC sticker on the capsule???

Would be much better if Royal Mint would apply the QC on the certificate, with a designed round or square area, in an elegant manner.

Don't know what you mean - those are good pics.  Although I think it's safe to peel off the QC sticker, and attach it to the box.

Your lighting produces an interesting dappled effect, which might be partly caused by photographing through the capsule.  Very nice and sharp though, which is usually the failing.
