    Colourised coins.

I've got a few but don't actively collect them. Must admit they do make the designs stand out so are better to display if that's what you're doing. Not worth the premium just to stack in my opinion.
  2. LMU coin sourced, thanks. πŸ™‚ Also looking for a good condition 1892 shield half sovereign if anyone has a spare.
  3. I'm afraid it's a no from me too... Too small to see any detail with the naked eye. Too light to feel like they're worth anything. Too much premium to make them worth flipping any time soon.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I may not have been clear earlier. I've already got the common 20 Francs from France, Switzerland, Belgium, etc. Now looking for other LMU's at the same size (Italian, Spanish, South American). Not looking for graded ones due to the extra premium but thank you for the offer.
  5. Hi, I've been collecting 2024 world gold 1/4s this year but the huge rise in spot price has made a dealer purchase prohibitive for this one. If anyone has a spare they could let go for around Β£460 then please drop me a PM. Also on the lookout for another collectable condition 6.45g LMU coin (20 Franc size) for around Β£350 - though I've already got most of the common ones. And a Swedish gold 20 Kronor, though I suspect they'll be out of my budget at current spot prices. I live at a slower pace than most on here, so please don't expect an immediate response to PM's. Thanks Minted
  6. Interesting question. I'm afraid I don't know whether bars are classed in the same way as coins for VAT purposes. I have only imported gold coins myself. Bars aren't mentioned on the page I bookmarked. Investment gold coins (VAT Notice 701/21A) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
  7. I tried to do family members birth years...but quickly realised there weren't any sovereigns produced in the majority of those years. 😐 Had no idea that sov's weren't produced every year! Half sovereigns were produced in even fewer years. So I'm on a different run now. One from each decade/portrait. One of each special reverse. And some key dates that have meaning to me, rather than the Marsh catalogue. Not fussed whether full or half. Not interested in mintage numbers. Ultimately, most sov's look pretty similar, it's mainly the date and the head that changes (except special reverse).
  8. Good selection on Dauwalders as well. Coin Capsules (dauwalders.co.uk)
  9. Of those options, I'd choose the Kookaburra. I bought a 2024 1oz Una & Lion bar...sadly the design isn't any better in real life! Much prefer the previous design, which I also have in 1oz. I find Brit's a bit boring. Design doesn't change much. Think their main purpose is being CGT free. I would chose one of those over the above bar though. Kooks design changes every year. Quality is fantastic. None of mine have milked (yet at least...) and the caps they come in are generally very robust. I have several smaller Kooks in both gold & silver, but I'm yet to buy a 10oz version as they hold premium so well...which it seems is one of the things you're looking for.
  10. Hi, Does anyone know of another UK supplier for this series? I bought a previous one from EMK but would rather avoid the hassle of international delivery and customs if possible. 007Store always seems expensive even before adding postage. I considered ordering a different item on there last week until the postage came up as Β£12! Thought I could combine postage with this coin but it won't allow that either. James Bond Pierce Brosnan 1oz Silver Proof Coin Perth Mint | 007Store Thanks
  11. I'm not a fan of SD at all. Causes a lot of hassle in my circumstances (admittedly different to many people). But also poses a safety & security risk. Advertising to everyone that the package contains something valuable...and to post workers & neighbours how often you're receiving something valuable. I'd always rather have anything up to Β£500 posted via Tracked48. Never lost any parcels doing that. And as long as they don't contain rattly caps, no-one knows what's inside, reducing the risk of theft or future personal security issues. The only downside is the lack of insurance for if there was a genuine loss in transit, but even then it should be traceable with all the tracking points shown online. Hopefully the bullion dealers may consider alternative services after these prices rises.
  12. Shame they aren't doing 1oz silver bullion versions of the Music Legends any more. I would have bought one of these. Can't cope with the premium on a 1/40th gold version, and don't own a magnifying glass. πŸ˜† Might get a 1/4oz gold version on the second hand market once the value has dropped near bullion in a couple of years time... 😁
  13. The game was released 3 months ago. New CoD's are always released just before the end of each year. I play a lot of CoD to pass the time but can't see anything appealing about this bar at all. I did buy a Wonka bar as I liked the design of that one.
  14. Hi, I've had a quick look online but can't see any capsules that fit a 5oz silver APMEX bar. Even the one on the APMEX website doesn't fit according to the reviews. Does anyone on here know which caps will fit these bars specifically? Thanks Minted
