Normally I'm a grader but the sets look too nice to break up, so it's a long term keep as is for me 👍

I'm sending mine off for grading, flipping them seems a lot of hassle so I'll HODL them in my collection after that.

Keeping all that I bought for the forseeable future. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the flippers - if there is the usual profit taking before prices dip or if prices stay high. Personally I'm hoping for a dip as I wouldn't mind getting a few more since I was only able to order so much on the day.

I'm waiting to see mine in person before I decide what to do with it. Still don't think the design is worth the premium even a 3 year old can copy and past and not keen on the colour of modern sovereigns so thinking it's probably gonna go back but 🤷‍♂️ find out in a couple of days

The other sovereign and the box of 3 will be keeping them indefinitely

The flippers have probably either listed their coins on ebay before receiving them or will be getting them graded hoping for max return

I’ve got a sov plus 2 x 3 coin sets. I’m definitely going to keep the single sov long term as I am collecting a date run from 2020-2029…will likely keep a set of the 3 too…will more than likely sell the second set at some point!

Don’t do much on Facebook or eBay but what are the sale prices for the flippers looking like?

There’s always much talk after a hot release about those nasty ‘flippers’.  
My take is this, none of us would have many coins in our collections/stack without buying from the secondary market.  

Does it matter if someone chooses to sell 5 minutes after purchasing from the RM or 5, 10 or 50 years later?  I personally don’t think so.

I’ve bought from a ‘flipper’ and been satisfied with my purchase.  I am also an unashamed nasty ‘flipper’ occasionally- most recently flipping a hot Silver 5oz coin release for an inordinate amount of cash- and a satisfying profit- and in turn, I used that filthy profit to reinvest in a Gold historic Sovereign- that I will hold until it’s time to flip. 

Perhaps we need to reframe and get away from the term ‘flipper’ as a derogatory term- and embrace the fact that coins can make profit 5 minutes after release- after all,  most people buy coins to enjoy but also to make money- perhaps opportunist is a better term- people taking an opportunity to make some cash.  My son did himself no harm recently by flipping a coin that helped him with a house purchase and get himself on the property ladder- is that a nasty thing to do? 

I’m holding my 2022 Sovereigns and I will be enjoying them whilst I’m the custodian, but Inevitably  I will be flipping these, and all of my collection down the line- it’s part of my strategy for my old age pension pot- and ultimately the only reason I buy coins.
