Don't know why but I'm really annoyed at the mint for charging £9 delivery on a 2k+ item. Anyone else?

Still showing as an open order for me- in fact my account and open orders pages are very buggy and wont load correctly. The menu on the left hand side flashes up and then disappears. Still, I'm confident of receiving one after having been through the same Three Graces angst.

And my credit card has been debited woohoo we are in Coinsters

Yep that's a lot, A little trick I found is if you call the sales team to place the order they can waver the charge on the phone. Just tell them this was promised to you.

From what the guy said to me you dont need to worry. Fingers crossed

Their packing and shipping department must have got their finger out, that's impressive.

(We are still beavering through a backlog of deliveries, although doing it in parallel with new orders.)

Five Ounce Gold Proof

I failed to notice this was the 5 ounce version when I uploaded it!

I don't know what time ours got delivered this morning, and we were not the first to post about them, but Dynamic Doug did his usual photo skills for these:

We are still working on some silver photos.

Great photos although to better display the silver coin in the pics, rest the insert holding the coin on the hinge part of the case, it'll show the coin off better.

Photographing the cheaper cases issued by the RM isn't the easiest thing to do as the hinges on the box don't open fully to 90 degrees. It's just a suggestion....

Good tip - am always looking for more ways to present the coins although for these box shots I think it's more about showing how they look in packaging supplied - raising that tray makes it look a bit padded which may cause confusion for potential buyer.  I frequently get on stepladders or prop the coin up from behind in order to show more of it if I think it's needed - but as we also display top views of reverse and obverse not sure it's really needed.  I will give it a try though.  Thanks.

Forgive the username - it seemed funny at the time :)

I have to say, i never knew it was so difficult to photograph coins until i had to sell a few.....how tall are your stepladders and would they help improve my photos. 🤣

:)  6 rungs - about 5 feet - though rarely top step used.

Will they improve your pics?  Well that's the elusive thing that we all search for isn't it....the next gadget to aid photographers - though I would avoid anything that said "Photographers Step-Ladders" as they will cost an arm and a leg

It's £5 delivery for the silver 1oz proof that costs £92.50 from the RM! 🤷‍♂️

Well, my nerves are shattered!

I’ve got to say I did like the look of the completer design and so I decided to try and buy one.  Initially there were 864 people in the Royal Mint’s queue before me and so I did not access the website until 9.01am.  It was then a matter of trying to take in what was still available and what was affordable.  At this point I was interrupted by an email from the CC, but on looking at the attachment they did not seem to have much (their gold coin was sold out and so only the 1oz proof and the BU coins were available) – so back to the Mint’s website.

I managed to get one of the Ten-Ounce silver proofs (limited edition of 125) into my basket and then I entered all my details into the checkout page – after which my bank promptly declined my transaction and said they would be in touch.  A minute later the phone rang and it was the bank’s computerised vetting system.  I managed to prove I existed even though I was beginning to wonder what was the point!  The voice then told me to wait for two minutes before retrying the transaction.  Luckily whilst I was waiting I realised I needed to re-enter my banking details, and after waiting what seemed like a lifetime I pressed the submit button again.

To my astonishment the transaction seemed to go through and I subsequently received an “Order confirmation” email!  Though there was the ominous “please note your order is subject to availability”.  Given the number of cancellations of the “Three Graces” orders, I am not celebrating yet.

Well, it looks as if all the hassle was worth it.  I've just received an email saying my ten ounce silver proof has been despatched. I just hope the quality control is as good as the design!

Glad I got one of the 1oz silver proofs at least.

Actually looking forwards to the silver bullion version since that's what the rest of my collection is made up of.

Really need to convince my other half that the gold 1oz bullion is a good idea too. She's not on board yet.
