Regrets? Not piling in pre vat rules change for bullion. Not getting in earlier full stop when both gold and silver were much lower. At least pre financial crisis. I had the money. Doh. Buying too many art coins. Lovely to look at but they lose their premium faster than an brand new car driven off the forecourt. Getting into precious metals at all when I realise that i have to sell them on eventually. Shares are so much easier.

Well, if he dies later this year, we get another memorial too!

Well, on mine (just 1oz silver proof), arrived yesterday, I have what looks like an extra full-stop after the word 'Charles', and on his face he has a tiny spot/ding on his cheek. I'll probably send back.

If you look at art coins like the rest of silver, your throat will close up and you heart will stop. Bloody expensive for the silver (or gold or whatever). Investment? Like most things, you need someone to sell to. Common silver is easy to shift, art pieces less so. I've seen the few that come onto this forum go for under their purchase price. I've got a few I bought from various mints around Europe. Fell in love with the designs. I sometimes wince over the cost even now. And then the VAT rules changed. That made everything even more expensive. The last art coin I bought came with a hefty extra bill thanks to that. But they're not an investment. At least I don't look at them that way. They are art pieces, and I treat them as ornaments. Exit strategy? Sell the bullion. Bury the art with me.

I'm sure I'll regret not buying one in a year or so, but right now with so much stuck in pending on my credit card, i'm not caring enough to attempt again to leave another 700 quid in pending limbo. I'll buy some whiskey instead.

I think it looks pretty. And despite the Pride theme, I do find myself humming along to the tune of, 'Up above the streets and houses...'

Almost bought the 1oz just to have one, then I started looking at the helmet. And I thought... Why doesn't it go over her eyes? It does not look like its pushed back on her head... It looks like... it's too small. And now, all I can see is that stupid, tiny, oh so ever wrong helmet sitting on top of her head.

On another point, it's just sinking in that I've spent £260 + postage on 2 Oz of silver.

Mine just arrived (postman was already with red non-delivery slip despite my dash to the door the instant I heard the knock). Was worried given all the RM failures that have been reported, but capsule intact on delivery and coin... on initial inspection flawless. I got lucky with this and the first part of the pair. Given my record of sending back coins from the RM, I am really pleased something they sent out this time around managed to come through unscathed. But we shouldn't have to deal with this anxiety and disappointment. Fingers crossed for everybody still waiting on delivery.

If they were going to do this all along, I don't know why they did not just sell them as a two coin set to begin with. Why make people wait for the second coin?

Interesting. I was hoping I'd get the call, and well, I did not. Logged into my account, and checked my recent orders... Well well, there's the portrait. I go back and check the email I sent in reply, and I basically said, yes, I want it, gave them my account number. I guess they didn't nee to ring.

I've sent stuff back for that kind of thing. For the price you pay you want better than that. Looks like you are missing another piece on the O at the bottom of the picture too.

2oz arrived today. Just makes me wish I had ordered the 5. It's nice but my enthusiasm has waned since I actually bought it. On the bright side it's flawless, so well done RM for that.

Mine had some nice stuff, but the only gold was edible.

I actually paused on this once I got in this morning. Left in my basket a while then thought, why not. Probably very lucky if I get this really. 'Subject to availability'. Makes me wonder if I will actually get it still.

I am hoping to get one of these in my Chard's mystery box.
