It does not matter whether gold is £750 a troy ounce or £7500 a troy ounce. What matters is what can that gold get you in real terms at a particular time especially when its decoupled from the $

I know there's an element of philosophy in what you are saying, but give me £7.5k gold and imma getting whatever I want 😆

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Been here a wee while now, but still can’t work out where the heck the price is moving!
Reading everything on here isn’t helping, your a bunch of confusing rascals, so I guess I will just have to buy a wee bit every month to flatten my average, getting guidance from you lot is too difficult 😥😂😂😂😂

meantime I keep hoping for a price crash ( unlike most of you lot) as it presents a buying opportunity 👍
But love reading you guys wafting guesses, keeps the board interesting.
ps anyone (with a bit of feedback) want to sell near spot, us amateur buyers are keen as mustard

The speculation thread is about 90% fun to be honest, best thing to do is don't overthink it and just buy some at the lowest premium ideally, at least to my mind, bullion with bonus potential collectability such as tudor beasts.

Get yourself over to marketplace for some close to spot deals, always plenty to be had

There's been numerous 1 Oz deals within a percent or 2 of spot this past month. A few bars, even some cheap 1/4 Oz and a double sov probably some other commemorative bits and pieces that usually go very low premium too

I like this for the sake of my existing little stack, but at the same time it's a bit unfortunate in that if I want to buy something I really just can't afford it now...

What was the previous all time high again..   I have a figure of £1582 in mind sometime last year.  Is that right or did I dream it..?

Gold is looking really really good which shouldn’t be a surprise judging by what’s going on in the whole world however the spot price has been manipulated for a few years that we are actually surprised to see gold is doing well but that’s what gold is there for and it’s doing it’s job really well as it’s always done throughout the history .

I think once there is a clear break out it’s just not going to look back and we are going to witness some unimaginable prices, for the moment I’m enjoying the show , let’s see what happens
