  1. I say this every time it goes up, I think I’m the only one in here who doesn’t get excited, I like it low as it allows me to buy more in the hope that it stays low for another 5 or 10 years to let me buy more, then of course, shoots to the moon as everyone says.😉
  2. Nothing like a “mistyped”comment to get the smart guys attention 😉
  3. Great deal, just too Kate but great offer for this site
  4. If nothing else works, I know writing over ink (even permanent markers) with a dry wipe pen, designed for a white board, allows you to wipe off the original ink. you might not want to rusk it but it’s an idea.
  5. 👏 missed this one, great bargain
  6. Oh, those silver prices, they are causing some real jealousy. I do love the shiny stuff, but with the uk vat, just not worth buying retail.
  7. People who rack up this kind of debt invariably do it again. if he can give you security then consider it, or if you are prepared to not get paid back then fair enough, but a loan Will almost certainly result in a family rift when he defaults. does he have anything of value he can sell you with the promise that you will sell him it back when he gets himself sorted. This would be a better course of action in my opinion.
  8. I know james doesn’t need bumps,,,, but what a nice 1/2 oz Kruger.
  9. Lovely coin, but daft newbie question just because I have no idea what it means, “cypher coin” just wondering?
  10. It’s kind of weird to be the guy on the forum who always wants gold and silver to tank. As the guy who is buying for the future, I hate these price spikes. 😂
  11. I still think of myself as a newbie, but I guess checking my profile might suggest that I am almost a trusted member for some! I believe that there is no absolute answer to your question, it’s different for everyone. You have to decide on YOUR own personal instinct and preparedness to trust people. common sense would suggest that people who have been here a while are more likely to be here for a while longer, I believe that the overwhelming majority of people here are trustworthy, but I wouldn’t send a load of money to someone with a poor feedback record. if you are in doubt, FaceTime them or ask for proof of identity. but for balance I just traded with a member for the first time this month for what I would consider a significant amount, purely on their feedback and rating, they were a great seller and I would not hesitate to trade with them again. If you want zero risk and a sterile trade , buy from a recognised commercial trader (I often do) but if you want some fun, great camaraderie, unusual opportunities and a wee bargain now and then, use good judgment and trade here, I have found it to be nothing but honourable, and great fun. also some of the fine chaps and chapesses on here have helped me no end with great guidance (with a special mention to @James32 ) I cannot but recommend the site to all. be careful but enjoy and trade away.
  12. This kind of thing does huge damage to the forum. Buying here is based on trust, I don’t get enough of a discount here to justify taking huge risks. I have really enjoyed trading on this forum and only last week made a significant purchase from an honourable seller(I still have to exchange feedback) but, I think in future if sellers without huge feedback don’t clearly indicate by pm who they are I would need to think twice before trading. I feel really sorry for you and hope Chris Silver can forward you as much detail as possible of who this guy is to allow you to progress with a fraud claim.
  13. Thanks guys. I’m away to research this. 👍
  14. Ok I tried not to show my lack of knowledge but it has got the better of me. What is the weight in water thing. I’ve never seen that before? 👍

    Gold for Stacking

For me any cgt free coin. But on this site I try to buy Sov’s and half sovereigns.. from dealers sovereigns or 1oz cgt free coins of any type. Not only because of their tax free status, but because I think they will be the easiest to move on in the future. The other factor that I consider to be very important is that I am not particularly skilled at this kind of investing, so those coins represent the lowest risk in my opinion.
  17. I would suggest that anyone who finds themselves in this position does not close your existing account if you move bank. Dont close your old account, by having several accounts with your funds spread out, you protect yourself. closing an account is much easier than opening a new one. I have several accounts with several banks, I believe with this current banking behaviour having one account is way too risky. (Just an opinion)
  18. I do like a half sov, a major weakness of mine
  19. Got a question for you, if it’s ok I will pm you?
