The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. I would grade it as about Fine. The obverse is aF and the reverse gF

No idea why there's mention of Kookaburra.

Yes it's weird. They stuck them in sets with 2oz and 1oz proof kooks:wacko:

Profile picture with thanks to Carl Vernon

Numi - looks nice. Is there a grade on that slab, or is that just a generic slab holder thing?

It is AU55 so a very reasonable if not exceptional grade

Yeah the pictures don't do it justice but it's probably been cleaned at some point.

Still a nice sov though, and as a Sydney sov 1877 is only one of 4 years where Sydney was the only Mint putting out the shield backs (1875, 1877-1879). Not that I have that sort of nerdy info in my brain on a routine basis ?, but because I also bought an 1877 S shieldback a few months ago, and looked it up! Snap.
